Final Battle Editorial

All of this is based on what I think will happen to Ba Sing Se, that being that I believe that good guys will take it back somehow. Otherwise, I think that it will be to much of an impossible task to win the war.

As the name would suggest, this page is all about how I think the final battle will play out.Let’s get the obvious stuff out of the way. It’s cliche that the battle will be between the Fire Nation, the Earth Kingdom, and what’s left of the Water Tribe. Furthermore, I think that the Fire Lord’s Palace will be overlooking some kind of giant field, and that’s where the battle will take place, at the same time as Aang battles Ozai in the palace (I’ll get to that more later).

To get some minor stuff out of the way, I think that a lot of the one episode characters we’ve seen throughout the course of the series, in addition to the ones who don’t show up very often (Haru, Teo and the rest of the people at the Northern Air Temple, Jet, Suki and all the other warriors of Kyoshi, etc) will show up and help. Haru would join some earthbending batallion, Teo would lead the people from the Air Temple in a bunch of air strikes on the Fire Nation, his dad would come up with some ingenious plan (perhaps along with Sokka, that would be a nice deja vu moment) to defeat the Fire Nation, Jet and his freedom fighters would go around taking out small groups of firebenders, Suki and the Kyoshi crew would do the same, and it would all be totally awesome. Remember the feeling you got watching Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Iroh, Zuko, and Azula all converging on the same place at the same time? Imagine them, a couple of armies, and all the people mentioned above all fighting at once. That would be insanely awesome wouldn’t it?

Moving right along, I think I’ll talk about the major characters’ roles in the battle. First, I don’t think Aang will have that big of a part. What I envision happening is the organazation of a large scale invasion of the Fire Nation, which Aang will be a part of. Aang will lead, or co-lead, the invasion until they reach the field mentioned above, at which point the Fire Nation’s Army will be fully massed, waiting for them, in said field. A humongous battle will start, with the Fire Nation no doubt breaking out a fresh array of amazing machines like the Drill, and all the good guys charging at them and screaming a lot. Meanwhile, Aang will use all of it as a cover to sneak into the palace and take on Ozai, one one one.

At this point, I’m going to cut right to the chase. I have a couple different theories on how Aang will face Ozai (which it’s pretty certain that he will, it’s cliche). The first is, as implied above, that he’ll sneak up to the palace and take him on there. Although it would undoubtedly be cool to see Aang and Ozai slug it out in the throne room or something like that, it would be a little weird if there’s a mass battle that’s the culmination of a huge invasion, and the leader of the whole Fire Nation, and probably the most powerful firebender in the world, is watching from his throne room. And that leads nicely into Aang vs Ozai scenario number two. Aang and Ozai will both be leading their respective armies, and they’ll just end up facing each other somehow. The biggest flaw that I see in this theory is that Aang and Ozai are probably going to face off one-on-one, and if they’re in the middle of a huge battlefield, they’ll probably get soldiers from both sides trying to help out their leader. What could happen is that Aang and Ozai will get seperated from the mass of both armies, ending up on a cliff somewhere, or blocked off by a bunch of earth, or a wall of fire, or both. In conclusion think this scenario is a tad unlikely given that Aang and Ozai will probably end up one on one, but I still think it would be awesome watching them fight on a cliff overlooking a humongous battle.

Ok, so I got through that. Well, not quite, I have one more little theory about how Aang and Ozai will meet up. It would be pretty cool if Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph (Team Avatar! Woot!) all snuck into the palace, and had to go through the same sorta chaotic “OMG this is impossible!” thing they went through to take down the drill, all in order to just reach the throne room, where Ozai will be conveniently waiting inside, preferablly behind a couple of really thick doors. After that, Aang will somehow open the doors, get ambushed by a large pack of firebenders who will come out of nowhere to close the doors, he’ll barely make it through as they clang shut (imagine Book 1, Chapter 8 all over again), and face Ozai alone as the rest if the gang battles against the large pack of firebenders. That’s scenario three. I think this is the most likely, personally, at least of the three mentioned here. It’s pretty much the same as scenario one, only Katara, Sokka, and Toph come along with Aang for the ride, which would not only make more sense, but it would be more dramatic too.

Moving on (finally) past the whole Aang/Ozai thing, I’d like to cut right to another possible Aang/Azula match up. As of Secret of the Fire Nation, every time they’ve fought (Return to Omashu, The Chase, The Drill), there hasn’t been a conclusive winner. I find this both intriguing and concerning. Intriguing because it seems to be building up a fight where one of them will at last come out clearly ahead, and concerning because if Aang can’t defeat Azula, how’s he gonna stand a chance against Ozai? Anyways, I do think that this matchup is going to happen at some point in the future, though I don’t think it necessarily has to be in the final battle. In fact, that would be a bit much, for Aang to have to fight in a giant battle/invasion, fight Azula, and then defeat Ozai. He’d probably be pretty tired by then, giving Ozai a change to defeat him, and that can’t happen, can it? On the other hand, it would be almost poetic for Aang to defeat the daughter, then the Fire Lord himself, and would probably be the spawn of about 500 fanfictions. But in all reality, Avatar or not, Aang’s still human, and he’d get pretty darn tired if he had to do all of that over the course of a couple days, or even a couple hours. But one way or another, I think this is happening.

Next up, the waterbenders from the Northern Water Tribe. They’d probabably (by that I mean hopefully) show up, and the Fire Nation has used steam powered machines many times in the past. Their latest doomsday plan involved a giant drill at least partially powered by steam, and since steam is simply heated water, the waterbenders would be instrumental in taking those machines out (For how Katara will play into this, see this editorial). The one biggest piece of evidence that supports the waterbenders being in the final battle is that a large scale invasion of the Fire Nation would be extremely risky, and very dangerous. Therefore, the people in charge of it would want every possible warrior or bender they could get fighting in it. Hence, they’d try to contact the waterbenders, set up a rendezvous point, and meet up there along the way to the Fire Nation. Finally, after carefully analyzing side by side pictures of Katara and Sokka’s dad from flashbacks, and pictures of the guy who flashed briefly on screen during Aapa’s Lost Days, it’s almost completely certain that they are the same person, and the boats we saw are part of the water tribe’s fleet. It’s pointless to just flash them on for no reason, so I think this confirms that Katara and Sokka’s dad is coming back eventually, which supports (somewhat) the above theory.

Next up, something seemingly minor, Katara and Sokka’s father. We haven’t seen him at all yet, and in Bato of the Water Tribe, when we briefly thought we’d finally see him, that didn’t happen. I think it would be pretty cool if two groups of “good guys” converged on the heart of the Fire Nation (wherever the palace is), Aang and the gang in one group, Bato and Sokka and Katara’s dad in the other, then they could have a nice happy reunion. Another possibility is that Bato and the rest of the group he was trying to get back to in Chapter 15 could somehow meet up with the waterbenders from the Northern Tribe, and then continue on to meet up with Aang and the warriors of the Earth Kingdom.

Now, the only thing that comes to mind that I haven’t discussed yet is how the battle will end. I would have to believe that some twist will be thrown in, and it won’t be that the good guys just overpower the bad guys. What this twist will be, I have completely no idea, but I’m pretty confident that there will be one.

That concludes my little editorial, hope you’ve enjoyed it. Comment please!

  1. For a twist, I think, more than likely, somebody will bite the dust. I’m not going to guess whether it will be a bad guy or a good guy, but it’ll probably a major supporting character (You just don’t kill the main characters, now do you?) If not that, somebody will be severely injured, and you’ll be on the edge of your seat wanting to know whether they made it or not until the very end of the episode (or episodes if they turn it into some sort of marathon or big movie special, which is also very possible. Afterall, how could they fit all of this into thirty minutes?) I’m guessing all this unfortunate fate will fall upon somebody that we’ve grown attached to, but not too attached to, such as Jet or Suki (if they’re alive, seeing what happened to them in the episodes when we last saw them.) For bad guys, this fate will probably fall upon Azula, and of course, Fire Lord Ozai. It’s also very possible that one of the bad guys, especially Ty Lee or Zuko, could get sick and tired of being bad and betray their fellow antagonists and join the good guys, which might get them killed or severly injured in the process. Those are several twists but, as it always turns out, the good guys WILL win (it would really be pointless if they didn’t, wouldn’t it?)

  2. I totally think that, Zuko or his uncle will change sides,or both, it would make complete sense, as Aang needs somebody to teach him firebending! Envision this water, air, earth, and fire taking out the firelord, : Katara, Aang, Toph, & Zuko!!! I do think that Aang will face Ozai one on one, Katara, Sokka, and crew, will attempt to help, but for some reason get separated- don’t ask me how! I don’t know!- I do think someone major will be severely injured or die! Wonder who?! any ideas? Please submit!!!

  3. I agree that Aang and Ozai will go one-on-one after being seperated. ?…any comments on whether he will go into the avatar state or not? If so why?

  4. I agree with the original final battle theory: If Aang went into the Avatar State, the whole ‘learning the four elements’ thing would be kinda pointless. I, personally, would rather see Aang defeat the Fire Lord and he Fire Nation by sheer knowlegde of the elements, not by luck or a given power source, so to speak, such as the Avatar State.

  5. Woot! You agree with me! And that is also my answer to comment #4. Sadly, I don’t think Momo will have any role, outside of comic relief, in the final battle. I have to say I think Toph will die, because of the whole “loved and lost thing” (loved as a friend! My upcoming Toph editorial puts that to rest), and in my Zuko and Iroh editorials, I say that I also think they’ll go good. Thanks a million for all the feedback! Comment on my other editorials too please!

  6. I really couldn’t see Toph dying, she’s considered a main character now, at least, according to Wikipedia and alot of other sites. And I’ve never read a book or watched a movie/TV show where they killed a main character. Then again, Toph isn’t as main of a character as Aang or Sokka or Katara or Zuko (she hasn’t even been with the “BommerAANG squad” for a whole season yet!) so I guess it is possible that she could be killed, at the least injured severely. Though I still couldn’t really see it happening.

  7. I’ve read a lot of books, seen a lot of movies where the main character dies in the end. (HARRY POTTER SPOILER ALERT HERE!) In Half Blood Prince, Dumbledore died, and he was a mainstream character. And, to use a more real life example, look at Julius Caesar. I don’t have difficulty imagining Toph dying at all, though I certainly hope it doesn’t happen.

  8. True. However, what I meant was, you don’t kill a main-main character (none of us would want to see Harry, Ron, or Hermione die, now would we?) But it is still possible that Toph could die, afterall, we haven’t even known her for a whole season yet! Please leave comments about what yall think.

  9. Hmmm…Though we’ve only known Toph for (about) one season, thats half the show so far, and we’ve gotten to know her fairly well. I’d place her odds of survival at 50-50, and her odds for staying in “The BoomerAANG Squad” at 20-80. I still think that the “loved and lost” thing is clear foreshadowing of her either leaving the group, of dying.

  10. I think Iroh’s going to be executed (He is considered a traitor now). Zuko will be forced to watch, and Iroh’s last words will be him begging Zuko to help the Avatar. Zuko will realize he’s made a huge mistake and join Aang’s group as Aang’s Firebending teacher.

  11. That’s an interesting theory, it seems almost likely to me. I’ve always expected Iroh to die, frankly

  12. But that wouldn’t be any fun now would it? After seeing how Iroh has practically escaped from every nasty situation he’s gotten in, he’ll figure something out to get away from Azula. After seeing the season finale, I think Iroh might possibly join the “BoomerAANG Squad.” It’s a thought.

  13. They’d definitely trust him, he helped them escape. But, sadly, no matter how good he is, he can’t take Azula, Zuko, and an army of Earthbenders on his own. At this point, I think the only hope for a final battle is if the BoomerAANG Squad managed to retake Ba Sing Se. Which I think will happen at some point, maybe around Chapter 7 or 8 of Book 3.

  14. I think that Zuko will be the one to fight Azula (and possibly defeat her for good) because of his previous conflict with her. Even though he ‘joined her’ in the season finale, I think that her treatment of him when they were children will lead him to want to be the one to finish her off. AND i think he’ll turn good in the end, despite how the finale made things look ;)

  15. zuko or sokka or maybe even katara will probably take on the fire lord and die climactically, like, pushing the violence limit on nick up a notch. remember transformers armada? remember when the orange guy got a hole blown through him? shocking 8 year olds everywhere? yeah. like that. then it’ll be all aang-to-the-rescue lameness and then he’ll probably pussh him off a cliff and he’ll grab the edge and aang will be all like thinkin’ “oh, it’s okay that he slaghtered innocents! he’s probably a great guy!” and he’ll be all liike “grab my hand!” and ozai will be all like “never!!!!!” and let go. and….. DEAD!!!! W00T! …….and the series is over……..
As my 2nd theory. zuko will throw her to the floor, then she’ll beg for mercy and he’ll ignore her and torch her. he’ll then feel really bad for his ruthless violence and Iroh will tell him he’s disappointed in him and zuko will cast himself off a cliff into some raging water or lava or whatever.

  16. We’ve known Zuko too long for him to just commit suicide in the end. That would be kinda pointless for the whole series, considering he’s been building up his entire character all this time. Why throw that all away? And I don’t think that Katara or Sokka will die (ahem, ahem, they’re main characters.) If you want to kill off main characters, I guess you could go for Toph.
But now that I think about it, people might take it offenseively that the first major character they kill off in the battle is the blind girl. You know how people are these days.

  17. I doubt they’d take offense to that, especially because of the “Loved and Lost” thing. If you hint at it early on, then less people will take offense to it, which is why I see her as most likely main character to die. And, realistically, there’s a war going on, Toph’s basically a soldier in it, and soldier’s die in war. That’s life.

  18. Toph would be extremely essential to blowing down the doors in the palace. If you don’t notice, they are…(dun dun duuuun…)-Metal!

  19. Yeah, as are a lot of other doors. Hopefully, she can teach Aang that metal trick. I wonder if, when the sage at Avatar Roku’s temple said “Only a fully realized Avatar is powerful enough to open these doors alone”, he was referring to the advanced ability of bending metal.

  20. Hi well… you are probably right about a character dying however i think that there will be four or five books of avatar because there has to be the four elements themselves and possibly a spiritual element. For the final battle i imagine… well there are too many possibilities! Azula and zuko could be standing on either side of ozai and team avatar would split up to fight all three of them. I hope that iroh is present on aangs side as he could teach him firebending and lightning bending

  21. Go for toph, I don’t really like her, shes rude with no reason to be in my eyes. But save her sarcasm, I love that. Just saying what i think of her since she’s not in the character section, and if you read properly, I don’t completely hate her. Oh, and it is possible to win the war without the earth kingdom, if the 2 Water Tribes, Kyoshi, and the Omashu rebels team up against that tiny island of the fire nation.

  22. yes, you sounds genial!!!. But mayby its would be some difficult to attack the firennation without the Earth Kingdom, the Earth Kingdom is strong and smart and they have a big army, so i think more that its would be easyer with the help of the Earth Kingdom.

  23. Concerning Aang vs Ozai in the throne room:

It would not, in the end, be that unfathomable for an Emperor to simply watch a battle, and not participate. Napoleon himself did not get down into the thick of it… in fact, I think that it would just emphasize the distastefulness of the Emperor, that he would not brave the dangers of battle with his people.

*shrugs* He could be giving commands, as Napoleon did, but not actually participate in the battle. Just oversee. In that case, overlooking the battlefield would be advantageous.

Soo maybe we shall have that dramatic fight of doom. You never know.

  24. I have no problem whatsoever with a, as you put it “dramatic fight of doom” (*rollseyes*), but it seems unlikely at this point. What good would it do? Azula would just take over. I want to see a big dramatic fight of doom between Aang and Azula, Azula having killed Ozai so she could be Fire Lord.

  25. What I would really like to see is after Aang has mastered firebending, which should be easy as waterbending considering that fire is not his opposite element and if Aang can find a teacher, I think that in the final battle, Aang should publicly humiliate Ozai by challenging him to an Agni Kai. In Agni Kais, I don’t think interferences are allowed, and if you lose, you lose honor and respect, which might as well just completely dethrone Ozai. Aang vs. Ozai one-on-one, with thousands watching, loser, loses everything.

I apologize if this is off-topic.

  26. The group of water tripe boats was all of the warriors from the southern water tribe doin their thing, not reall a fleet. And Sokka meets up with his dad in The CrossRoads of Destiny (Season fianly of book 2)

  27. Aang and his friend would team up with Iron and maybe Zuko would Join them to fight the Fire nation, But first they have to overthrow Azula. Toph need to teach some people Meltal Bender. The war will be like World war 1 and 2.

  28. I think that Katara and Aang will somehow sneak into the palace together, and Katara will be captured by Ozai. Then, Aang will become frurious with Ozai when he nearly kills her. Then it’s AVATER STATE time!!! Iro will come in to play during this time and so will Toff. Iro I belive will be killed by Ozai and then Zuko is going to go crazy on his father. Katara will then wake up and and find Aang dying on the floor. She uses some water to heel him. Unfortunatly I think Zuko will kill Ozia and Azula. Then there is a barial for Iro. Zuko will probably break down and Katara might actualy heal his scar like in the Guru: Crossroads of destiny. Katara and Aang will probably fall in love and ger married or engaed or something like that. Mabey Iro might come back to life after Katara uses water to try and heal him one last time before he is barried. I think it will end up good for Iro and Zuko in the end. Mabey Zuko will become fire lord since he is the last decendent of the royal family. I just can’t wait to the new season!!!!

^ i disagree the main charaecters can die they just can’t die in the middle of the seasons so i believe that sokka or katara CAN die in the “epic battle”

  30. Well I think that zuko will die saving aang in the end and katara will come and try and save him but she cant and then she will be so mad that she kills ozai herself and aang just watches astonished.
my other thoery is that aang and katara will fight side-by-side while the other group is in the chamber fighting the gard fire benders and that aang or katara get serously injured and one of them eventually beats ozai.

  31. i think that azula kills iroh and zuko gets mad and kill her in the final battle or maybe katara kills azula and iroh stays alive.

  32. For some reason I think, that instead a one-one with Ozai, some COMPLETLY different will happen!! I dunno what, i just feel it!!

  33. Some things, I’ve noticed and thought since I first began watching Avatar at season 2…
1.) Even though many people have come to love Uncle Iroh idsms, he is one of the most likely destined to die. He is from the old world of the war and was in fact a supporter of that war and left it. He has been a mentor to Zuko (similar to Dumbledore and Harry Potter) since his son died. He will most likely go out with a fight bigger than any we have seen he may even bring in that secret organization he is involved in.

2.) Zuko’s life has been leading up to one decision…he acted on that decision once and regretted it completely. He is now more confused than ever as to what is right and what is wrong. Based upon this my guess is he’ll begin fighting on the bad side in the beginning and during the battle he’ll need to make the final critical decision of fate vs. choice maybe by facing the Avatar before he goes to Ozai. In the end he’ll turn to the good side and dethrone the Firelord, maybe even bringing Mai and Tai Lee. My other bet is he’ll still end become “Firelord” (or whatever the new world title will be), but he’ll set up a society based upon peace of the four nations.

3.) Azula will be interesting to watch and even though we haven’t been directly involved in her personal conflicts there has been some interesting developments in her personality since the beginning of season two as shown in “The Beach” that should make it interesting

4.) I find it highly unlikely that any of the Aang gang should die other than Aang himself in the final battle and even that seems unlikely, I don’t see how anything would be added to the plotline with Toph or Sokka or even Katara dying it would just be a very depressing addition, but no theme is added other than those same friendship storylines that are way to overused. The only reason I could see Aang dying is that heroic aspect of dying for a cause, but the only problem with that is Aang needs to be there to set up the new world I’ve been talking about…

5.) I don’t really have much to say about Tai Lee and Mai other than they may..possibly go to the good side, although I could really only see Tai Lee doing that and even thats iffy in my mind.

6.) Katara, It’s going to be interesting seeing if she uses blood bending in another critical moment of the battle or not…

7.) Sokka, I can almost guarantee lots of swordfights here

8.) Toph, don’t really know her entire contribution to the final battle is vague in my mind other than shes probably going to be a big recruiter for the war although I am curious where the crush on Sokka’s going to go…

9.) Suki and Jet: one or both will most likely make a surprise appearance and change the tides of the battle. Yue may even watch…

10.) Ozai battle: Aang has been complaining about it being mone e mono all season, but I doubt this is going to happen due to the reaction of his friends every time he mentions it. Although it would be appropriate to end the show with an Agni-Kai between Avatar and Firelord Ozai, who knows Roku may even make an appearance, wouldn’t that be appropriate. Although the only other scenario that seems likely would be the involvement of Zoku since it was Ozai, his dad, who originally scarred him.

11.) Major Death: My bet is this will most likely occur at Zuko’s turning point or the final battle or from mortal wounds after the battle

12.) Audience shockers will most likely occur throughout the final episodes in favor of both sides, but the final shocker will turn the war in favor of the unity of nations.

  34. well aang has to be the one to defeat ozai, duh! i mean the whole series points to a battle between the two espiecally in the episode “the fortureteller”. but i do think zuko will die saving aang and azula will be involved in the “final battle” After the failed invasion, i think all of the avatar’s friends and allies will escape or be busted out of the fire prison, suki will be saved by sokka and will unintentionally meet for the “final battle” somewhere else sacred and large for a battle.

  35. sorry to break it to you guys, but it was confirmed in an interview outside of the show that jet’s dead. died of internal condition when he was attacked.

  36. I got tired of waiting for the new avatar season sooo…I watched it on some avatar website…The “epic” fight will be in 2 parts :’[ Aang can’t go into the Avatar state because when Azula hit him with the lightning it blocked his 7th chalkra…Azula is definatly gonna intefere.after all it’s her Dad riight? Ty lee might not go to the goodside because she’s waaaaaaaaay toofaithful to Azula… .arrrrrgh this episode is gonna be interesting..<3…

  37. I expect Jet’s freedom fighters to join up, with a new leader. I also hope Toph stays alive, Twinkle Toes needs her support. I’d like a return of Chong, that musician cracks me up.

They’ll probably turn it into a movie, like they did in the Day of Black Sun. I’m shivering thinking about it!

  38. the final battle is going to be great.im sorry to say but oppa has a high chance of dying in it.aang will finally master ther avatar state and blow up the fire nation and all the people with it.zuko of course will go to the good side because it shows in the nwest avatar (day of black sun) prince zuko riding on a hot air balloon to find aang and the rest of the gang

  39. i think zuko and iro will teach aang fire bending and zuko will become emporer.

  40. Jet is dead he is not returning in book 3. Suki is in jail which we also saw in book 2. Suki does join team avatar in book 3 chapter 15. Zuko and katara fight azula while anng fights ozia. Toph, sokka and sokka’s dad fight the fire nations air fleet. I goot all these from the novel sozins comet. i liked your predictions though

  41. I just like the trailer for the finale.. that’s all. Anywho, Ty Lee and Mai will definitely help Aang and his group since Azula sent them to prison at the end of Book 3 Chapter 15. Ty Lee could single-handedly take down Azula, so I guess she would be a great help in Aang’s battle. I am a bit skeptical about this though since I don’t see any hints that Main nor Ty Lee returning after Chapter 15. Suki is a powerful member of Aang’s team now. Azula made a big mistake by sending Suki to Boiling Rock because it didn’t make Suki vulnerable, instead, it made Suki much much more skillful and powerful. She can even fight Ty Lee and I consider her as Ty Lee’s equal. Hakoda, Katara’s and Sokka’s father also re-joined Aang’s group and there is a new guy joining them too. A convict from Boiling Rock who wanted to escape together with them. I think the new guy’s name is Chit Sang, or something like that. In my opinion, Zuko can defeat Ozai. Fact 1, he can deflect the lightning shot at him by Ozai, and lightning is Ozai’s forte`. I also think that Iroh is a better fighter than Ozai. Iroh would make a good addition to the Aang Gang. He was skillful when he has a big gut, but now he’s a guy with the strength of an army, quoting the prison guard “he busted himself out, I’ve never seen anything like this, he is like a one-man army.” So, I think the chance of Aang defeating Ozai is very high and I think it will be easy.

  42. UUMMM

i think that a final battle will be between azula and katara becasue in that new comercal(sory my spelling sux!) anyways!

because in the comershal when katara says “LETS DO THIS!” and does that kool waterbending move when she slides on top of the water!

Behind her there a weird glowy blue water thing and that could be azulas cool blue fire bending!

O and i think that azula will be made firelord because if Ozai is planning on ending the war and controling the whole world she would be left to control that area!

  43. Aang finds a way to defeat the Pheonix Lord WITHOUT killing him…Great or not?

  44. Azula DOES become fire lord.Ozai renames himself as Pheonix lord, and leaves in an airship(with hundreds of others) to burn the Earth Kingdom to the ground once and for all.Sokka has to sacrafice somthing VERY important to him in order to save someone he loves.(guess who!)Azula sees zuko and katara again at her coronation to become fire lord. Azula and zuko has an agni kai to see who will become ‘ruler of the Fire Nation’(guess who wins!)Zuko gets badly injured by a surprise attack by Azula.Katara defeats Azula once and for all.All of what Michael said(or wrote) is true.Aang actually redirects lightning in the final battle between him and Ozai.He also TAKES AWAY OZAI’S BENDING!! At Zuko’s coronation Ty lee becomes one of the Kyoshi Warriors.Zuko vowed that with the avatars help,he will be able to heal the world of Ozai’s scar(or somthing like that!)well thats all the spoilers I know of..

  45. I’m still wondering, what will happen to Chit Sang.Any ideas??

  46. i think thaT A BUNCH OF THE BAD GUYS WILL JOIN AANGS TEAM AND THE FIRE NATION WILL CRUMBLE AND DIE!

  47. Just watched the finale. I was AMAZING. The music was epic, the action scenes made me giggle and gasp. Unfortunatly sometimes at the same time. often causing me to choke on air. -.- But the point is. It was amazing. Speculate all u want. Once u see it u will see it is even more epic than u could have imagined.

  48. i wached the finalie, and i have to say im a bit dissapointed. After ang defeats the fire lord (by taking away his bending), zuko vizits ozai in prison. at the end of the scen he asks “wheres my mother” and then it just goes away from that scene and never comes back. i hope they make a book 4… or after thay make the 3rd live action avatar movie(yes thyere making a movie for real) they could make a fourth movie to explain wat happens next!

  49. I saw the finale too, it was alright. I mean, it couldve been better, no? I mean, no offense to kataang fans out there but, the ending seems too Disney-like. I kinda liked the part where zuko asks an imprisoned ozai where his mother was at the end, but i didn’t like the whole couple things tho. It was too fairytale, and I don’t know about you, but Zutara has more chemistry to flame the fire than kataang, sice the whole opposites attract thing. Katara like three epi. back wasn’t even sure about the whole relationship with aang when he kissed her, which kinda gave me the impression that she really didn’t like him. and then mai comes out of nowhere and kisses zuko, like it was all good and nothing happened -_-” trully, trully pathetic imagination. oh well, i guess it is a nickelodean show afterall, they couldnt really make it that interesting with an audience of 8 years old watching it (lol, my brother is all of a sudden obsessed with avatar after it just ended xDD)

  50. no, i like kataang better. i think more action (nothing to bad!) was need though. also, i think that a season 4 is necessary to tye up all the loose ends. i mean;

    *zukos mom
*what will become of the air nation? rebuilt or not?
    *will peace always remain
    *etc

and also, shouldnt the movie be the tye, if not, could we ATLEAST have a season four to keep us all happy? i think that this series should continue for years.=

    agree?

  51. I know there sould make a season 4 or im crying   ya I really want to know wheres Zukos mom real bad

  52. Don’t u wish u were a bender! It would be awesome!
    GO EATHBENDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  53. I think that the Avatar finally was one of the best shows that I have ever watched! I can’t wait until the movie comes. I still think the should continue the Avatar seires because there are still questions that need to be ansawered. If Avatar is over I will be really sad though. Ow and AIRBENDERS FREAKEN RULE!!!!!!!!!!!

  54. No offence to the avatar cast, but they ruined the finale by havin him go into the avatar state!

  55. look that is totaly wrong
if you look at it that way the sieries will never end and for the rest of aangs life will be bent on stopping someone new if someone turns to the “dark side”
    :?:
